At this individual lesson it will be just you and the teacher (and an English translator), so the content of the course will be fully tailored to your needs and requirements. We have a fully equipped sewing workshop here, but should you prefer to learn on your own machine (classic straight stitch, overlock, coverlock), you are welcome to bring it with you, and we will teach you how to work with it.

As mentioned above, there will be a Czech-English translator for the entire duration of your class.

HOW MANY HOURS SHOULD I GET?

Based on your current experience and your goals, we recommend the following number of hours:

• I can’t sew at all, I want to learn the basics, and be able to sew a pillowcase - 2-3 hours
• I can’t sew at all or very little and want to be able to sew a bag - 3-4 hours
• I have some experience with sewing, but would like to fine-tune some skills - 2-3 hours
• I can't sew at all, and I want to learn enough to be able to sew a skirt or a simple kimono - 6-8 hours
• I can sew, but want help with a more difficult project, for example a jacket or a dress - 10 hours

Please note that 1 hour is only enough to cover the very basics, and there won’t be time to sew anything from start to finish. We recommend purchasing at least 2 hours to get some real practice.

END NOTES

If you have a dog, who is well-behaved and won’t eat the teacher or any of our equipment, he/she is welcome to come with you. Just please let us know in advance, so we can make sure none of the other participants are allergic or afraid of dogs. We want everyone to be safe and comfortable.

We welcome anyone who’s eager to learn sewing - girl, boy or anything in between. We don’t care what’s under your skirt. We’re just here to help you sew it.
